Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking contractors to provide spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation, a fire stop intumescent coating, and a protective epoxy finish coat for the interior roof and walls of the Bldg. 9 Mezzanine area. The objective is to install a high-performance air barrier and insulation system to improve energy efficiency, durability, and environmental control. The work area is approximately 5,180 sq. ft. The scope includes surface preparation, application of closed-cell SPF insulation (3 inches on the ceiling for R-21 value, and 4 inches on the walls for R-28 value), application of a fire stop intumescent coating over all foam surfaces, and two finish coats of semi-gloss white Pre-Catalyzed Water-Base Epoxy. Contractors must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial spray foam insulation systems. All workers must be vetted US Citizens authorized to work on NSWC grounds. The anticipated NAICS Code is 238310, with a size standard of $22 Million. Responding firms are strongly suggested to have a primary business location or established physical presence within the State of Maryland.
