Description
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting market research to identify organizations capable of providing independent technical assistance for updates to NUREG-1520 (Standard Review Plan for Fuel Cycle Facilities License Applications) and NUREG-2212 (Standard Review Plan for Applications for 10 CFR Part 70 Licenses for Possession and Use of Special Nuclear Materials of Critical Mass but Not Subject to the Requirements in 10 CFR Part 70, Subpart H). Capabilities sought include updating existing guidance chapters, developing new sections for emerging fuel cycle technologies, incorporating lessons learned, improving document clarity and organization, creating supporting tools, and adding new chapters on areas such as electrical safety and digital instrumentation. Respondents should demonstrate expertise in technical and regulatory aspects, document structure and content, formatting, and AI tool compatibility. The work is anticipated to be performed remotely, with deliverables compatible with Microsoft Word and Excel.
