Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking a contractor to provide full-time, on-site sign language interpreting, transliteration, and sight translation services. These services are intended to support a deaf or hard-of-hearing employee at the Bethesda, MD facility. The contract will be for a period of one year, with services required from 0700 to 1530 Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The contractor will be responsible for providing personnel fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, proficient in various signing methods, and holding current certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). Personnel must also possess a minimum of three years of professional ASL interpretation experience and maintain a Tier 3 Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) throughout the contract. The contractor will be issued a GFE laptop and CAC card for network and base access.
