Description
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is soliciting bids for emergency and preventative maintenance and repair services for existing roofs, as well as exterior waterproofing, at two of its facilities. The contract will span five years and cover the DPS Headquarters located at 5805 N. Lamar Blvd. in Austin, Texas (Travis County), and the DPS Training Facility at 810 CR RD 240 in Florence, Texas (Williamson County). The scope of work includes maintaining the watertight integrity of affected facilities on DPS-owned buildings. Services encompass repairs to base flashing, caulking removal and replacement, hot-applied asphalt/coal tar pitch repairs, expansion joint replacement, pitch pan repair/refilling, and vent stack replacement. A two-year warranty on labor and workmanship is required for all repairs, using industry-standard materials compatible with existing roofing. Bidders must provide unit prices for various repair items and a total bid based on specified quantities. Emergency services may be required outside of normal working hours, with specific response times outlined for different call types.
