Description
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Section on Behavioral Neuroscience, is seeking to procure four wireless fiber photometry systems. These systems are crucial for analyzing neuronal activity via calcium and neurotransmitter-specific sensors in freely moving non-human primates. The wireless capability is essential to avoid movement-related artifacts and prevent equipment damage, which is common when working with animals that exhibit significant vertical movement. The systems will complement existing wired equipment and support research into brain circuits and systems underpinning brain function and behavior. The required equipment includes two standard configuration TeleFiOpto-sets and two dual-position configuration TeleFiOpto-sets, along with associated peripherals such as headstages, receivers, chargers, insertion tools, and software. Additionally, a 6-channel hub, a multi-headstage charger, and external batteries for the headstages are required. The delivery location for the equipment is the National Institute of Mental Health, 35A Convent Drive, Room: 2D-804A, Bethesda, MD 20892.
