Description
Niles Community Schools is soliciting bids for roofing improvements at Ballard Elementary School. The project involves leaving the existing asphalt built-up roof in place, cleaning the surface, and installing a fully adhered 2-inch base layer of insulation, followed by a fully adhered 1/8-inch tapered insulation system. A fully adhered 45 mil fleece-back KEE roofing membrane will be installed, along with 2x wood nailers at the roof edge as needed to accommodate insulation thickness, and .050 aluminum fascia/roof edge metal. The contractor will be required to provide the manufacturer's 20-year no dollar limit warranty. The awarded contractor will also be required to pay not less than the published Berrien County, Michigan prevailing wage rates.
