Description
The Oxnard Harbor District/Port of Hueneme is soliciting proposals from consulting firms to provide construction management services for the C8. South Terminal Shore Power System to Achieve Zero Emissions project. The project includes a new 16.5 kV electrical service entrance, medium-voltage switchgear, three 7.5 MVA shore power transformers, 6.6 kV shore power substations and outlet boxes, underground power and communications infrastructure, a prefabricated flood-resistant electrical building, fire alarm and mechanical systems, testing, commissioning, and warranty support. Existing damaged shore power equipment, substations, transformers, switchgear, and Tesla battery equipment will be removed or coordinated for removal. The selected consultant will coordinate with port staff, port operations, utilities, stakeholders, and the construction contractor; oversee schedules and procurement; manage project records, RFIs, change orders, submittals, payments, claims avoidance, safety, quality assurance, inspections, testing, regulatory coordination, reporting, as-built documentation, and closeout. The construction-management period must cover construction and closeout activities. The District is a secure facility, and the selected team must obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC cards).
