Description
The City of Dallas is seeking an experienced and qualified operator to provide comprehensive management and operations services for the Majestic Theatre, a historic performing arts venue at which the operator will preserve the theater’s historic significance while maximizing its use as a premier cultural destination. Responsibilities include venue operations, event support, facility maintenance, food and beverage services, marketing, financial administration, staffing, security and crowd management, technical production coordination, ticketing, patron services, community programming, reporting, and compliance with historic landmark requirements. Addendum 5 clarifies that the minimum qualification of 10 years of comprehensive management and operations experience for performing arts centers or comparable venues with at least 1,500 seats must be demonstrated by the proposing entity. Experience of joint venture members may be considered if the joint venture structure and substantive role of the qualifying member are clearly documented; subcontractor or informal teaming-partner experience alone is insufficient. Proposers may also optionally request use of administrative office floors 4 and 5, subject to City approval and a transition plan addressing relocation of Office of Arts and Culture staff. The solicitation includes a 7.10% Small Business Enterprise participation goal and requires applicable DRIVE/SBE and local participation forms.
