Description
The City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department is soliciting bids for the repair of the Grauwyler Community Outreach Building and Big Thicket Building following storm damage from 2021. The work is to be performed under one contract for the complete project and includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and related construction services required by the drawings and specifications. The bid documents identify a 90-working-day completion period, a $200-per-calendar-day liquidated-damages amount, prevailing-wage requirements, and federally funded Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery provisions. Bidders must submit the owner-provided bid forms and supporting forms, including the Bid Form, Bid Bond, Team Make-Up and Local Workforce Form, safety and environmental affidavits, tax and accounts-receivable report, prior contractual activities, conflict-of-interest questionnaire, Senate Bill 252 and House Bill 89 acknowledgements, cement preference certification, contractor ownership information, and surety information. A bid bond is mandatory for bids exceeding $100,000 at not less than 5% of the highest dollar amount bid; performance and payment bonds are required at 100% of the contract sum when the contract sum exceeds $100,000. Required insurance includes workers’ compensation, business automobile liability, commercial general liability, umbrella liability, and applicable property insurance.
