Description
The City of Norwalk, through Norwalk Public Schools, is seeking proposals from companies or dealers to supply certified new instruments and equipment for elementary school programs. The bid sheet identifies a broad range of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, French horns, baritones, oboes, percussion equipment, violins, violas, cellos, basses, bows, strings, reeds, mouthpieces, rosin, and other accessories for multiple schools. The specified brands and models are preferred, but equivalent substitutions may be proposed with supporting documentation. The awarded vendor or vendors must provide inside delivery, assembly, installation, inspection by a certified repair technician, play testing, and verification that all items are functional and defect-free. Proposals must also address service-center coverage, repair response and turnaround, warranties, maintenance, qualifications, staffing, references, and pricing. The estimated project budget is $270,000, and the City may make multiple awards.
