Ascension Parish School Board is soliciting sealed bids for a one-time purchase of approximately 105 line items comprising band and orchestra instruments, percussion instruments, cases, stands, mallets, drumheads, reeds, mouthpieces, cables, speakers, mixers, chairs, and other related accessories. The specification sheet identifies requested brands and models, quantities, unit-of-measure requirements, and detailed product specifications. Bidders may offer equal or suitable substitutes by marking the unit-price field accordingly, providing substitute pricing, and submitting manufacturer product literature or a specification sheet for each substituted item. Pricing must be FOB destination, freight allowed, and bidders must identify the earliest possible delivery date. The school board may award all or any portion of the requested items and may adjust quantities. The bid package requires a signed bid, pricing on the supplied Bid Specifications and Substituted Items Form, and any applicable substitute documentation. A bid guarantee of at least five percent of the bid price is required; the instructions also state performance and payment bonds at 100 percent of the contract price for applicable federally funded contracts.
