Description
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking multiple master agreements with qualified marine construction contractors to perform priority rehabilitation work at its New York and New Jersey marine terminals. Potential work orders may include timber and concrete pile encasement, pile extensions and replacements, bulkheads, decks, seawalls, pile caps, reinforcing bar work, pile wrapping, underwater concrete work, excavation, and related marine structural repairs. The Authority expects the total work awarded under all work orders to be approximately $100 million. Master agreements are anticipated to run for six years with two one-year extension options; execution of a master agreement does not guarantee a work order. Firms must prequalify based on marine construction experience, key staff qualifications, safety records, subcontracting and M/WBE participation history, financial responsibility, bonding capacity, and other qualification information. Range A is limited to qualifying local Port Authority-certified MWBE/SDVOB firms for work orders up to approximately $2.5 million; Range B is open to all qualified firms for work orders greater than $2.5 million.
