Description
This project involves the replacement of sanitary force mains in Lake County, Illinois. The work is divided into two segments. The first segment is on North Lakeside Drive, between West Washington Street and approximately 500 feet north of the W. Wilmar Avenue intersection, requiring approximately 1,300 linear feet of 6-inch nominal diameter C900 PVC pipe installed via Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). This segment is anticipated for permitting and construction in the 2026 calendar year. The second segment is on Columbia Bay Road, between N Columbia Bay Road and IL Route 59, requiring approximately 1,900 linear feet of 8-inch nominal diameter C900 PVC pipe, also to be installed by HDD methods. This segment is expected to be constructed in the 2027 calendar year, pending IDOT permit acquisition. Services required include furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of the proposed force main systems and appurtenances, abandonment of existing systems, restoration of all pavement and landscaping, maintenance of a frac-out contingency plan, and provision of traffic control and protection.
