Description
This solicitation is for the removal and replacement of the existing roof at 36 Depot Hill Road, Amenia, NY. The work includes providing all labor and materials necessary for a professional installation of an Asphalt Shingle Roofing System, as detailed in the attached specifications and scope of work. The project is a New York State Public Works project, requiring adherence to prevailing wages. The contractor must ensure the site is cleaned and all materials are secured at the end of each workday. A quality control and quality assurance inspection will be scheduled with the Plant Superintendent or their designee upon completion. The scope of work involves removing existing shingles down to the original decking, replacing decking and fascia as necessary, installing ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, drip edge, flashing, counterflashing, pipe boots, exhaust vents, starter shingles, 30-year architectural shingles in "Charcoal" color, ridge vent, and chimney flashing. All shingles must be installed with a high-wind nailing pattern. The bid price must include all materials, labor, disposal fees, and site clean-up. The work is to be performed between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and the contractor must take care to safeguard residents and staff as the facility will be occupied during the job. The contractor must also provide a one-year warranty on workmanship and have a minimum of 5 years of residential roofing experience. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for June 23rd, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
