Description
The Department of Design and Construction seeks a consultant to provide special inspection services for a roof-replacement project. Required inspections include structural steel welding and details, sprayed fire-resistant materials, fire-resistant penetrations and joints, post-installed anchors, fire-resistance-rated construction, and final inspection. The project work includes a new roof membrane, roof drains, replacement of two rooftop HVAC units and perimeter guardrails, and installation of rooftop solar panels, with related structural, mechanical, and electrical work. The response must be completed in the provided RFI Response Form and submitted as one PDF. The form requests a staffing plan identifying the contract executive, key personnel, and other personnel; resumes and licensure or certification information for key personnel; firm experience and two demonstration projects completed within the last ten years; proof of Department of Buildings registration and Class 1 special-inspection-agency accreditation; laboratory identification, experience, licensing, and accreditation information; a proposed approach of no more than two pages; and unit-price, staffing-expense, and fee information. The stated not-to-exceed amount is $220,235.
