Description

Middlesex County seeks a qualified provider to conduct in-person psychological evaluations for candidates referred by its Sheriff's Office, Prosecutor's Office, and Department of Corrections and Youth Services. Services include a clinical interview by a licensed psychologist, psychometric testing, and an integrated report assessing candidates' suitability for sworn law enforcement roles. The provider must have a New Jersey office, a doctoral degree in psychology, at least five years of active psychology practice, and board certification in police and public safety psychology (or disclose the lack of that certification). Reports and recommendations are due to the relevant county offices within three days of evaluation. The contract begins the day after award and runs for 24 consecutive months. Bids are evaluated on the lowest unit cost per psychological test. The bid also requests unit prices for optional fitness-for-duty exams and critical incident debriefings; these additional services are not part of the award method.
