Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contract from a certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business for refurbishment of five air handling units at the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to clean and prepare surfaces, remove noncompliant coatings and foams, reinforce compromised floors with steel as needed, and apply protective epoxy, an NFPA 90A-compliant fire barrier, antimicrobial topcoat, and multi-acrylic corrosion-resistant antimicrobial coating. Work covers AC-1, AHU-A155, the Auditorium AHU, the Elevator AHU, and the Lab AHU. Two to three units must be worked on concurrently over two to three consecutive days per unit, with approximately six consecutive days of work. The contractor must provide barriers to prevent debris, materials, or gases from entering downstream ductwork and coordinate the work at least three months before commencement. The offer must include the completed SF 1449, pricing, a cover letter, VA financial-system registration confirmation, and the signed VA limitations-on-subcontracting certification. Amendment 0001 extends the offer deadline to September 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EDT; all other terms remain unchanged.
