Description
The University of North Dakota Facilities Management Department is seeking a contractor to provide labor, equipment, tools, and supplemental materials to remove the existing heat exchanger and install an owner-provided TACO E16210-S1C1AT00 shell-and-tube, U-tube heat exchanger at Witmer Hall. The contractor must drain, recover, and later reinstall the hot-water fluid; disconnect and remove the existing unit; place the new unit; modify the mounting stand; provide and install required steam, condensate, hot-water piping, fittings, and flanges; re-insulate disturbed piping and the new heat exchanger; recommission the system; and field-verify dimensions, materials, connections, and clearances before ordering and installation. The response must include lump-sum pricing and a preliminary layout schematic showing condensate elevation, steam-inlet flange alignment and horizontal orientation, and clearance for future head removal, tube-bundle maintenance, and valve access. Award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. A North Dakota contractor's license is required, and the solicitation evaluates past performance, including workmanship, schedule performance, and key-personnel qualifications.
