Description
The University of North Dakota is requesting a formal quote for the procurement and delivery of one 500 kVA, pad-mounted, liquid-filled medium-voltage transformer. The required configuration is 12,470/7,200-volt primary and 277/480-volt secondary, with specifications covering windings, insulating liquid, service conditions, accessories, switching, overcurrent protection, enclosure construction, grounding, and factory finish. Cooper is identified as the basis-of-design manufacturer, with approved substitutions permitted subject to prior approval. The quotation must include an itemized base price covering the transformer, freight, and standard manufacturer warranty, along with a firm manufacturing and delivery schedule. Bidders must provide descriptive literature or detailed manufacturer specifications clearly demonstrating compliance. The resulting contract is available to participating North Dakota University System institutions, has a term beginning October 19, 2026, or upon its effective date, and ends upon warranty expiration, with a possible extension of up to 36 months.
