Description
This Request for Information seeks industry capability information on tension-fabric structures and hybrid industrialized construction solutions for large-span aircraft hangars and related mission-support facilities. Potential applications include an approximately 193,513-square-foot, 10-module maintenance hangar complex with aviation maintenance, operations, storage, hazardous-material areas, access and wash aprons, site development, utilities, paving, drainage, security, fire protection, information systems, and self-contained heating and air conditioning; and an approximately 105,000-square-foot, six-bay hangar and squadron operations facility supporting aircraft repair, inspection, engine changes, maintenance administration, mission planning, and secure climate-controlled operations. Respondents must provide a capability statement addressing corporate capabilities and relevant experience; commercial pricing and payment structures; geographic coverage; schedules, lead times, risks, permitting, logistics, staffing, and construction execution; specialized hangar systems integration; supply-chain and fabrication lead times; materials, coatings, structural frames, design life, and warranties for coastal environments; and detailed responses concerning tension-fabric design and construction, collaborative delivery models, preconstruction services, subcontractors, teaming relationships, contract structures, and project outcomes. Information on smart-building technologies, security systems, fire protection, energy management, and advanced HVAC systems may also be included.
