Request for Proposals Yakima County Facilities Services is inviting qualified contractors to submit a proposal for the comprehensive “TURN-KEY” modernization of four (4) elevators, consisting of two (2) 2,500 lbs. capacity traction passenger elevators operating at 350 fpm, Unit ID PE1 and PE2; one (1) 2,500 lbs. capacity basement traction passenger elevator operating at 200 fpm, Unit ID 1180; and one (1) 4,000 lbs. capacity hydraulic passenger elevator operating at 150 fpm, Unit ID PE3. PROJECT NO. PW20026-A TITLE: Yakima County Elevators Project AGENCY: Yakima County Facilities Services SUBMITTAL TIME/DATE/LOCATION: Prior to 2:00 p.m., September 10, 2026 Yakima County Facilities Services 18 East Lincoln Avenue Yakima, WA 98901 A public opening and reading of the proposals will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at Yakima County Facilities Services, 18 East Lincoln, Yakima, WA 98901. All interested parties are invited to attend. Pursuant to RCW 39.04.290 Yakima County is seeking proposals for the modernization of elevators in three (3) Yakima County buildings. The number of elevators and building locations are: 1. Two (2) elevators in the Yakima County Courthouse: 128 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901 2. One (1) elevator in the General Administration Building: 104 N. Front Street, Yakima, WA 98901 3. One (1) elevator in the Yakima County Main Jail: 111 N. Front Street, Yakima, WA, 98901 Each proposal must be sealed and clearly marked with the project name and “Do not open prior to RFP Opening Time”. Proposals must be submitted on a non-watermarked RFP Form. All Bidders must be on the Yakima County's RFP Specifications Holder's List. Obtaining specifications from Yakima County will automatically place your name on the Specifications Holder's List and provide you with a non-watermarked RFP Form. Proposals received after the aforementioned time will not be considered. All proposals shall be accompanied with a bid deposit by certified check, cashier's check or surety bond payable to the Yakima County Treasurer in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total proposal amount. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to Yakima County. Pre-bid walk-through: A pre-bid conference and site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM for prime contractors and other interested parties. Meet promptly at 10:00 AM at the Yakima County Facilities Office located at 18 E. Lincoln, Yakima, WA 98901. All Bidders must be on the Yakima County's Walk-Through List. Subcontractors are also encouraged to attend. Specifications may be obtained at Yakima County Facilities Services, 18 East Lincoln Avenue, Yakima, WA 98901 or by calling (509) 574-2406. Specifications are available at no cost. Specifications are available for viewing on our website at www.yakimacounty.us/bids.aspx.
