Description
Washington Unified School District is soliciting a complete proposal for structured cabling and related Category 2 network infrastructure at four school sites. The scope includes approximately 31,000 feet of 12-strand OS2 single-mode outdoor fiber cabling with LC-to-LC termination, MDF/IDF rack or cabinet installation, cable management, grounding and bonding where applicable, pathways and supports, sleeves, J-hooks, conduit, raceway, fittings, firestopping, labeling, and associated hardware. The solicitation also identifies approximately 110 racks and 10,000 antennas, connectors, and related components, with Panduit or equivalent permitted where specified. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, materials, equipment, testing, transportation, permits, and incidental work necessary for a complete operational installation. Required deliverables include certification testing, Tier 1 loss testing, OTDR traces, searchable electronic test reports, as-built documentation, cable schedules and port maps, rack and patch-panel documentation, warranties, and closeout materials. The proposal must separately identify E-Rate-eligible and ineligible costs, provide site-specific pricing, identify proposed manufacturers and models, include a project schedule, California licensing and public-works registration information, applicable subcontractor information, comparable K-12 cabling references, and evidence of insurance and bonding capacity when requested. Attendance at the complete mandatory walk-through is required to submit a responsive bid.
