Description
Wicomico County is soliciting bids for the FEMA/MEMA elevation of a two-story residence and rear kitchen addition at 2705 Church Street. The contractor must raise the structures to at least two feet above base flood elevation, demolish and replace the existing foundations, construct the required piers, footings, beams, framing, stairs, and flood openings, and lower and anchor the structures onto the new foundations. The scope also includes permits, surveys and elevation certification, utility and mechanical disconnection and reconnection, electrical, plumbing, septic, well, HVAC, grading, drainage, landscaping restoration, debris removal, inspections, and related site and structural work. The contractor must use coordinated hydraulic jacking equipment, provide a detailed elevation process, furnish evidence of comparable experience, and complete the project by May 31, 2027. A bid bond is required when the bid exceeds $100,000, and performance and payment bonds are required after award when the contract exceeds $100,000.
