Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, supporting the Pittsburgh Mining Research Division, seeks a firm-fixed-price quote for four fully configured laboratory systems: a complete rock specimen cutting system; a computerized grinding machine and accessories; a creep test apparatus with a 300 kN load frame, strain gauges, datalogger, and display; and a triaxial testing system with servo-hydraulic consoles, a 3,000 kN compression frame, Hoek triaxial cell, specimen fixtures, transducers, and related accessories. The equipment will support preparation and mechanical testing of rock, coal, concrete, asphalt, and other geological specimens. The contractor must furnish new equipment and manufacturer documentation, package and crate the systems, provide insured shipping and delivery to the designated Pittsburgh facility, and provide manufacturer warranty documentation. The statement of work expressly limits contractor responsibilities to equipment, packaging, and delivery; installation, setup, calibration, and on-site services are not required. Quotations must include firm-fixed pricing, completed Section B line-item pricing, and a technical response confirming compliance with the statement of work.
