Description
The City of Sierra Vista is soliciting a lump-sum bid to remove and properly dispose of the existing diesel fire pump, engine, controller, batteries, chargers, and associated equipment, and to furnish and install a complete new diesel engine-driven centrifugal fire pump system of equivalent or better specifications. The existing system is rated at 1,500 GPM, 90 PSIG rated pressure, and 124 PSIG maximum pressure. The work includes a compatible listed fire pump controller; batteries, racks, chargers, cables, and electrical components; engine accessories, gauges, instrumentation, relief valves, cooling and exhaust components, connectors, guards, and couplings; fuel supply and return piping; suction, discharge, drain, relief-sensing, and test piping; connections to existing fire alarm and building-monitoring systems; wiring, conduit, alignment, anchoring, grouting, and vibration isolation. The contractor must obtain permits, perform startup, commissioning, flow, acceptance, and operational testing under NFPA 20, NFPA 25, and applicable codes, coordinate inspections, provide manuals, record drawings, reports, warranties, and owner training, and restore the work area. Installation is to occur during normal business hours, and the project must be completed by June 30, 2027. A minimum two-year warranty is required.
