Description
The City of Lawrence, through Lawrence Regional Airport, is seeking bids for agricultural use of approximately 85.95 acres divided among 13 tracts. The successful bidder must provide the labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and other resources needed to conduct approved agricultural operations, maintain the leased areas, and comply with applicable laws and airport rules. Activities must not interfere with airport operations, infrastructure, access, or public safety; access routes require airport approval, and property alterations require prior written approval. The lease term is one year, with no right or expectation of renewal. The City may solicit bids for subsequent years and may change the acreage or permitted use, or discontinue agricultural leasing. The minimum annual rent is $90 per acre, or $7,735.50 for all 85.95 acres. The response requires a Certificate of Insurance, a recent W-9, and confirmation that the bidder has read and agrees to the solicitation terms and is authorized to submit the response.
