Description
The City of Lawrence seeks one or more consultant teams to provide on-call architectural, engineering, and construction services for Lawrence Regional Airport development. Potential task orders include runway and taxiway extensions and rehabilitation; aircraft parking aprons, hangars, and landside parking and roadway improvements; an aircraft rescue and firefighting station and vehicle acquisition; airfield lighting; vertiport development; airport layout plan updates; and related environmental, surveying, grant administration, construction, and closeout services. The scope also includes utility infrastructure planning and design, private development review, public outreach, and project effectiveness reporting. The agreement is a qualifications-based, indefinite-quantity master agreement and does not guarantee a specific amount of work. Individual assignments will have defined scopes, schedules, funding sources, and task-order authorizations. The agreement has a three-year term with two renewal options. The solicitation lists preliminary cost estimates for potential projects over five years, including $10 million for the aircraft rescue and firefighting station, $8.5 million for taxiway extension and $7.5 million for heavy aircraft apron development; these are project estimates, not a stated total contract budget. Fee proposals or pricing are not to be included in the initial submission.
