Description
The City of Lawrence is offering a lease for approximately 2,900 square feet of hangar space and 540 square feet of associated office space. The facility must be used for an aeronautical purpose, such as aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul; avionics or radio services; flight training; or other compatible aviation-related activity. Commercial aeronautical services are not required, but proposals supporting aircraft operations and airport users may receive additional consideration. Proposers must describe their intended services, customers, equipment, operating hours, operational compatibility, qualifications, compliance approach, and any proposed facility improvements. The tenant will be responsible for operating and maintaining the leased premises and tenant-use equipment, subject to the responsibilities established in the final agreement. Proposed rental rates must meet or exceed the stated annual minimum of $16,317.20 for the hangar and office space combined. The lease term is five years, with five optional one-year renewals. The technical proposal and cost proposal must be submitted separately, and the solicitation also requests at least three references, a statement of qualifications, bidder certifications, and a current W-9.
