Description
The City seeks qualifications from progressive design-build teams to investigate and remediate subgrade settling and foundation movement at Fire Station No. 1, and to renovate the affected spaces. Work includes raising, stabilizing, and repairing the facility; improving bunkrooms and locker rooms; and increasing sleeping capacity from 10 to at least 12 rooms. The project is intended to address safety, accessibility, and operational concerns and extend the station’s useful life. The selected team will provide programming, planning, design, and construction services, including investigation of the cause of under-slab settling, design and construction management, cost estimating, bidding, and construction administration. The stated combined project funding is $2,210,000, inclusive of design, construction, development, bonds, insurance, and design-builder fees. Respondents must submit a Statement of Qualifications with seven bound copies and one electronic PDF copy on a USB flash drive; the solicitation specifies the required qualifications content and evaluation process.
