Description
The University of Wisconsin-Madison, through its Purchasing Services Department and on behalf of the University of Wisconsin Police Department, seeks a contractor for Chapter 51 transportation services. Transports will originate at UW Hospital and travel to secure mental health facilities and other secure facilities throughout Wisconsin. Interstate transportation is not permitted. The contractor must provide continuous service 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year, including weekends and recognized holidays; maintain qualified personnel, vehicles, equipment, dispatch capabilities, and continuously monitored communications; and respond to UW Hospital within two hours of a service call. The contractor must accept combative and juvenile patients and be able to transport sedated patients or ride with an ambulance providing transport. Bidders must submit trip, mileage, waiting-time, surcharge, cancellation, fuel, monitoring, and other applicable rates. The resulting contract is for one year with four additional one-year renewal terms.
