Description
Dane County is seeking a qualified, licensed pharmacy to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services for residents of Badger Prairie Health Care Center, a county-operated long-term care facility. The scope includes daily medication deliveries, one-hour stat-order response, prescription processing, 30-day cycle-fill blister packaging, medication and treatment carts, barcode-scanning equipment, medication substitutions, discharge and pass medications, resident-provided medication handling, vaccines, returns and credits, and all required forms and labels. The selected pharmacy must provide and maintain specified equipment, supplies, communication tools, and secure online prescription communications at zero direct cost, lease cost, rental fee, or delivery surcharge to the facility. The vendor must maintain appropriate pharmacy licensure and comply with Wisconsin nursing-home regulations, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal requirements. Required services also include medication-safety and quality-assurance programs, error reporting, facility audits and committee participation, staff education, 24/7 pharmacist availability, dedicated customer-service and billing support, electronic medical-record integration using NCPCP Script version 10.6 or higher, insurance and prior-authorization support, and detailed monthly billing for private-pay, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, Medicare Part A, and other charges. Proposals must address organizational qualifications, service delivery, staffing, technology integration, compliance, reporting, references, billing, and pricing.
