Description
Schuylkill County is soliciting a single contractor to complete Phase III ADA improvements at the Pine Grove Township Municipal Building. The scope includes renovation of an accessible unisex bathroom, including demolition, new plumbing fixtures, grab bars and accessories, wall and floor finishes, lighting, exhaust ventilation, doors and hardware, and related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. It also includes modifications to the lobby transaction counter with accessible low and high counter surfaces, a sliding transaction window, associated wall construction, finishes, and hardware. The project also includes removal of existing pavers and installation of approximately 31 square yards of accessible concrete sidewalk connecting the existing sidewalk to the mailbox, along with approximately 31 square yards of lawn restoration. CDBG funding will be used, and Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, federal labor provisions, MBE/WBE solicitation and documentation requirements, Pennsylvania public-works employment verification, and other federal, state, and local compliance requirements apply. The bid package requires a 10-percent bid bond; the successful contractor must provide 100-percent performance and payment bonds and comply with the stated insurance requirements before contract execution.
