Description
Canyons School District is managing this cooperative procurement for UCARE, a group of 23 Utah school districts, seeking one or more suppliers to process USDA commodity cheese sauce. Proposed products must meet or exceed the listed specifications, have zero trans fat, and be USDA-approved for processing; suppliers must also have the required state approval. The price schedule lists cheddar sauce, queso blanco with salsa, and golden hatch chili queso, with additional qualifying products permitted on a separate pricing sheet. Proposals must include completed pricing and product data, product specifications and labeling, food-safety violation history, evidence of a processing-facility audit score of at least 90%, and the required processing agreements and compliance information. The contract is firm fixed price for one year, with up to four annual extensions at UCARE’s option. Product samples may be requested after proposal closing for competitive items and are evaluated for taste, texture, and appearance.
