Description
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada requires a qualified plumbing contractor to provide as-needed installation, repair, replacement, overhaul, preventative maintenance, emergency service, and decommissioning for plumbing systems and related infrastructure at its Saskatoon Research and Development Centre, Saskatoon Research Farm, and Canada-Saskatchewan Irrigation Diversification Centre in Outlook. Systems may include domestic water, reverse-osmosis water, sewer and drain lines, water heaters, gas lines, compressed air, scientific-equipment connections, backflow prevention, emergency eyewash and shower stations, irrigation, and pump systems. The work includes labour, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, reports, drawings, training, and required permits. The contractor must provide detailed quotes for routine requests within two working days, acknowledge urgent requests within two hours, and begin emergency work within four hours. Work must be performed by qualified tradespersons holding valid Saskatchewan Red Seal or equivalent plumbing certification; at least one Saskatchewan journeyperson plumber certificate must be submitted with the offer. Subcontracting requires written consent from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The procurement uses task authorizations and is evaluated on mandatory technical compliance and lowest evaluated aggregate price. The contract is expected to run for 48 months, consisting of an initial one-year period and up to three additional one-year periods.
