The Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to establish an annual contract for on-call plumbing installation and maintenance services. The contract will be awarded to a primary and a secondary contractor, with the primary contractor contacted first and the secondary contractor used if the primary is unavailable. Services include 24/7 response to urgent plumbing issues such as burst pipes, sewage backups, water main breaks, and gas leaks; leak detection and isolation; repair of leaking or broken pipes (copper, PVC, galvanized); faucet, toilet, urinal, and sink repairs or replacements; water heater repair or replacement (including tankless); valve replacement and pressure regulation; unclogging drains, toilets, sinks, and sewer lines; hydro-jetting and root removal; video camera pipe inspections; sewer line repairs or spot replacements; installation of sinks, toilets, faucets, showers, drinking fountains, and other fixtures; ADA-compliant fixture installation; and installation of commercial-grade fixtures in restrooms or kitchens. The contract term is for two years with the option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods. Proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications and experience (45%), service plan (35%), client work history (15%), and cost proposal (5%).
