Description
Middle Georgia State University is seeking statements of qualifications from plumbing contractors to provide task-order contractor and design-build services for small plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation construction projects across its Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins campuses. The work may include plumbing fixtures, supply and waste lines, backflow and water-system components, cost estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, construction management, and related preconstruction and construction services. The contract will be issued on an as-needed, indefinite-amount basis, with a maximum of $2,000,000 in task-order agreements and an intent to award at least three contracts. Individual task orders of $100,000 or more require 100% performance and payment bonds, and bonds may be required for smaller task orders at the university's discretion. Initial qualification requirements include at least five years in business under the current company name, university experience in an urban setting, an office within 120 miles of the main campus, a State of Georgia Master Plumber Class II (Unrestricted) license, relevant litigation and default disclosures, work-authorization compliance, bonding capacity, Builder's Risk insurance, and compliance with applicable insurance requirements. The initial submission must include a written statement of qualifications and supporting company, licensing, financial, personnel, project-experience, safety, reference, and capability information. Up to eight firms may be shortlisted for an in-person interview and presentation; shortlisted firms must submit a sealed financial offer at the final interview. The qualification period is one year, with mutual extensions of one year up to a maximum of four years.
