Description
The City of Golden Valley is soliciting proposals for professional planning and engagement services for Phase II of its comprehensive Parks and Recreation Long-Range Plan. The selected consultant will build on Phase I findings to develop a future vision for the parks and recreation system and identify long-term needs, priorities, programs, facilities, amenities, and services that support community health, well-being, equity, and access. Required work includes developing a community profile; assessing recreation services; inventorying and evaluating parks and facilities; establishing data-driven level-of-service standards; analyzing industry trends; and designing and implementing an inclusive engagement process involving staff, residents, non-users, stakeholders, the Open Spaces and Recreation Commission, and City Council. Proposals must address the requested scope, work plan, schedule, team qualifications, subcontractors, fee schedule, and three relevant project references. The project is anticipated to run for 12 months, from January through December 2027, with draft and final reports and presentations as deliverables. The City may later extend the contract to include Phase III by mutual agreement.
