Description
The City of Minneapolis is seeking a consultant to provide medical bill handling, review, and payment services for its self-insured, self-administered Workers' Compensation program, which covers approximately 4,000 employees and processes more than $3 million in related medical services annually. The selected consultant will review healthcare invoices, apply provider-network discounts, pay providers, process bill denials, and support preferred physician, pharmacy, and durable medical equipment networks. The consultant must be able to interface with the City's RiskMaster (RMX) claims database and support information exchange through the City's ECMS/EDMS systems or other proposed methods. Required services also include monthly reporting on bills reviewed, bill types, payment reductions, network services, and administrative costs; issue escalation and communication with City staff; and up to two annual meetings with the City's Director of Risk Management. Proposals must address the consultant's service processes, network arrangements, systems integration, communications, escalation procedures, assigned personnel, reporting capabilities, experience, references, personnel, fees, and financial information.
