Description
The City is soliciting proposals from qualifying nonprofit organizations that operate emergency shelters for people fleeing domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, or human trafficking. Approximately $90,000 is available for eligible shelter operating costs and services, including facility expenses, supplies, food, utilities, case management, child care, legal and mental health services, substance abuse treatment, transportation, and other support for shelter occupants. Applicants may request funding for emergency shelter operations; a 50% or greater match is encouraged but not required, and administrative costs may not exceed 10% of the requested budget. Applicants must meet the stated organizational and service eligibility criteria and provide monthly and year-end programmatic reports. The proposal package includes a cover sheet, scope of work, budget, and supporting organizational, financial, and program documentation. The resulting grant term is stated as one year, January 1 through December 31, 2026; the RFP also describes payments and reporting during 2027, so the stated dates appear inconsistent.
