Description
Caltrans seeks an on-call contractor to assess, sample, characterize, package, label, manifest, transport, recycle, and dispose of hazardous, regulated, universal, and biological waste. Services include roadside biohazard cleanup and sanitization, laboratory testing, waste profiling, guidance, and delivery of compliant waste containers and other materials. The bid schedule includes labor, equipment, disposal, container, and per-diem pricing; quantities are estimates and work will be authorized through service requests. Bidders must hold numerous specified licenses, registrations, and certifications, including hazardous-waste transportation credentials, and maintain required trained personnel. Subcontracting is permitted only for laboratory services. The agreement is estimated to run from December 1, 2026, or upon Department of General Services approval, whichever is later, through November 30, 2029. Insurance documentation is requested from the winning bidder after award, not with the bid.
