Description
The City of Providence Parks Department is soliciting bids for improvements at George Araujo Park. The base bid includes demolition and site preparation; new playground equipment for multiple age groups; engineered wood fiber and play sand surfacing; asphalt and concrete paving; pathways; chain-link fencing and gates; seating; an ADA picnic table; a trash receptacle; a bicycle rack; trees, shrubs, plantings, and turf restoration; erosion and sedimentation controls; and associated grading, drainage, and incidental work. Add alternates cover privacy fencing, benches on concrete pads, and boulders in the playground surfacing. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements under applicable Rhode Island law and the Davis-Bacon Act. Bidders must submit the required city forms, MBE/WBE participation forms or an applicable waiver request, a supplemental bid form with base-bid, alternate, and unit pricing, qualifications information demonstrating at least three similar projects completed within the past five years, addenda acknowledgments, and product information for proposed equals. The updated solicitation information requires a 5% bid bond, a 100% performance bond, and a 100% payment bond.
