Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District requires a firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from Freeport Harbor through the San Bernard River to the Colorado River, including the Brazos River Crossing and Channel to Palacios. Schedule 1 includes approximately 345,000 cubic yards between Freeport Harbor and the Brazos River, 51,000 cubic yards at the Brazos River Crossing, and additional dredging between the San Bernard River and Colorado River. Options include approximately 480,000 cubic yards to Palacios, 8,100 cubic yards in the Colorado River, 2,100 cubic yards at the Brazos River Floodgates Boathouse, and 2,400 cubic yards at the Colorado River Locks Boathouse. The estimated magnitude is $10 million to $25 million. Schedule 1 is estimated at 220 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, with option periods adding 35, 10, 5, and 5 calendar days, respectively. The contractor must begin work within 10 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Performance and payment bonds are required within five calendar days after award. The procurement is full and open, subject to the availability of funds, and prior government contract work is not required to submit a response.
