Description
Dorchester County seeks a qualified contractor to provide collection, transportation, storage equipment, processing, recycling, and beneficial-reuse services for used tires generated through its residential Convenience Site program. The material consists primarily of standard-size passenger, motorcycle, and light-truck tires without rims, with an estimated annual volume of 225 to 250 tons; commercial, off-road, and tractor tires are excluded. The contractor must provide the labor, equipment, transportation, permits, licenses, processing, and reporting needed to manage the tires. The scope includes routine collection, emergency collection completed within 48 hours when requested, transportation to approved processing facilities, recycling or beneficial reuse, disposition tracking, and quarterly reporting. Proposals must describe the collection approach, storage equipment, processing facilities and methods, end uses or markets, diversion rates, qualifications, references, reporting capabilities, and pricing. The contract is for one year with up to four additional one-year renewals.
