Description
Pierce County is soliciting a qualified general contractor for an on-call, unit-price public works contract supporting construction, repairs, modifications, and improvements at County parks and trails. The scope includes clearing and grubbing, demolition, utility work, excavation and grading, drainage and stormwater systems, concrete and asphalt paving, aggregate paving, pavement striping, curb ramps, detectable warnings, seal coating, crack and joint sealing, mulch, topsoil, hydroseeding, temporary fencing, bollards, access gates, and related site work. Work will be assigned through individual work orders and may include new construction on developed or undeveloped properties, renovations, infrastructure projects, and limited design or construction-document preparation when authorized. The initial contract value is not to exceed $1,000,000, with no guaranteed minimum amount of work. The initial contract term is one year, with an option for one additional year, for a maximum duration of two years. Compensation will generally be based on fixed-price proposals for individual projects, unit pricing, or time-and-materials work orders with not-to-exceed amounts. Contractors must be Washington-licensed general contractors and comply with prevailing-wage, bonding, insurance, safety, environmental, and applicable federal or state grant requirements.
