Description
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a design-build contractor for the SR 518 Tukwila International Boulevard Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Station Project. The project will construct a new BRT station on SR 518 between mileposts 2.49 and 2.91 to connect the existing Tukwila International Boulevard Link light rail station with communities to the south. The project is divided into two scopes: Scope 1 includes roadway modifications, new bus-only lanes, and a pedestrian bridge providing access to the new Stride BRT station and related facilities; Scope 2 includes construction of a new fish barrier correction structure under SR 518. The contract amount is estimated between $125 million and $165 million, with Scope 1 at $100-130 million and Scope 2 at $25-35 million. The project includes federal requirements for on-the-job training hours and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals.
