Description
Pierce County is soliciting bids for the 2025 Guardrail Program at Horn Creek, approximately 200 feet north and south of Bridge #28173-D on 8th Avenue South. The work includes removing existing guardrail and installing approximately 50 linear feet of Type 10 beam guardrail, 250 linear feet of Type 31 beam guardrail, four Type 23 transition sections, two Type 31 non-flared terminals, 175 linear feet of Type 31 buried terminals, and 18 guardrail reflectors. Additional work includes installation of an 18-inch culvert, quarry spalls, crushed surfacing, seeding and fertilizing, erosion and water-pollution control, permanent signing, temporary traffic control, construction signs, utility coordination, roadside and site cleanup, minor changes, and an SPCC plan. The project has an estimated cost range of $140,000 to $210,000 and must be physically completed within 15 working days. A proposal bond equal to 5% of the bid is required, and the successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds for the full contract amount, along with required insurance and contract documents after award.
