Description
Union School District #5 is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for roof repairs at Hutchinson Elementary School. The work includes removal of existing built-up and composition shingle roof systems and metal flashings; repair or replacement of damaged sheathing, framing, parapet masonry, fascia, gutters, and downspouts; installation of a self-adhered vapor barrier, R-38 rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, Dens-Deck Prime cover board, an adhered 60-mil PVC membrane roofing system, composition shingles, clad metal and counterflashings, walkway pads, roof drains, and individual penetration flashings; and disposal of debris. The project also includes related carpentry, masonry, insulation, sheet-metal, sealant, painting, and potential non-friable asbestos roofing-material remediation. The contractor must be an authorized applicator of the proposed PVC roofing manufacturer, comply with applicable Oregon public-works and prevailing-wage requirements, and provide a 20-year no-dollar-limit manufacturer’s systems warranty and a five-year roofing-contractor workmanship warranty. Primary construction operations may begin June 8, 2020; substantial completion is required by August 7, 2020, and final completion by August 14, 2020.
