Description
The USDA Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Research Station, is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract to install approximately 404 linear feet of six-foot-high galvanized chain-link security fencing around the remaining unfenced areas of the La Grande Forestry Sciences Laboratory. The work includes approximately 121 feet on the west side, 278 feet on the south side, and one 10-foot-wide nonmotorized swing gate. Fence posts must be installed in concrete footings at specified depths and spacing, with drain rock, 4,000-psi concrete, galvanized framework, fittings, hardware, and required bracing and tension components. The contractor must provide product data, shop drawings, product certificates, qualification data, a work schedule, a worksite safety plan, site cleanup, and fence product warranties as applicable. The contractor must be registered or licensed with the state and/or county, and the onsite supervisor must have at least five years of chain-link fence installation experience. The estimated performance period is October 1 through December 1, 2026, with completion required within 60 calendar days after notice to proceed. Award is expected to be made to one responsible quoter based on price, and the solicitation is a total small-business set-aside.
