Description
The City of Warner Robins is soliciting bids for asbestos abatement and demolition of the existing structure at 1003 Young Avenue. The scope includes abating identified asbestos-containing materials, demolishing and removing the building and site improvements, coordinating and verifying utility disconnections, maintaining site security, hauling all debris to an approved EPD landfill or other approved location, and submitting disposal records, notifications, environmental clearances, and closeout documentation. The contractor must restore the lot to natural grade and stable conditions, including fill dirt or topsoil, fine grading, seeding, straw, and other stabilization measures. The work requires a valid Georgia asbestos abatement contractor license, compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements—including HUD-4010 Davis-Bacon labor standards and Build America, Buy America requirements—and attendance by at least one bidder representative at the mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting. The asbestos survey identifies asbestos-containing wallboard and joint compound, carpet mastic, textured ceiling remnants, exterior door glazing, exterior tar or mastic, and roofing flashing or paint.
