Description
Essex County College is seeking a single contractor to provide comprehensive food services management and operations. The scope includes campus cafeteria operations; breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages, and grab-and-go offerings; culturally inclusive and dietary-accommodated menus; student meal plans; catering for internal and external events; meals for the Child Development Center, Summer Youth Programs, and student-athletes; and staffing of the Physical Education Building concession stand as needed. The contractor will provide labor, management, food, supplies, serving materials, technology, and any additional equipment not supplied by the College. Responsibilities include menu development, nutrition and allergen transparency, food safety and sanitation, student engagement, sustainability and waste reduction, financial and operational reporting, marketing, staffing and training, transition planning, and proposed capital improvements. The proposal must include detailed operational, marketing, technology, transition, staffing, financial, menu, pricing, and student-development plans, along with the required forms and supporting materials. The resulting agreement is for an initial five-year term, with renewal at the College’s discretion.
